Why does life strive to live?
Primal earth conditions became suited for creating organic material spontaneously.
In the system of physics and chemistry as it existed, there became stable structures, and unstable ones, but at one point a replicator arose in this system, and grew to dominate. These became cellular organisms that, at first glance, seemed to be attempting to "survive", but have really were just been the most efficient replicator from a series of ancestors.
Then  a tipping point' or critical mass of sorts was reached where the primitive self replicators begin to survive. And through the process somewhere, consciousness sprang up as a more successful method to continue replicating and surviving. And upon becoming more complex organisms emotions and thought became the tools for survival. These complex feelings mixed with millions of years of instinct drive humans to question death. Then we try to answer the fundamental question...

Life does not begin, nor does it end. Life just is. It continues just like a forest that loses a tree, the spirit and life of the forest is there.  Just like a lawn is a single organism of grass all interconnected, the universe itself is ... continue reading at  A Higher Plane

Soul vibrations are no less tangible than sound waves, though their nature and medium of propagation are more exotic. They employ the same medium through which light and radio waves travel but are made of potential waves rather than electromagnetic waves. This means the soul vibratory field (also known as the aura) consists of fields and waves far subtler than electric or magnetic fields, which is why conventional instruments cannot detect the aura.

The orb seemingly adapts to and loves the sun, and shares it with us. Even with it's unusually timed orbit and the changing reflections, the moon is our stability, our reassurance and our hope.  I always smile when I see the moon and have that added warmth of knowing something big surrounds me.  - Ry

The Moon Friend.

How balanced! The moon.
So dedicated. This moon.
It faces us always, the moon.

It tugs gently on the earth , this moon
and causes the tide,
and once a month,
it pretends to hide.

It goes round the earth, the moon.
and reflects the sun, this moon.
It is always there for us. The moon
.

A poem for  a friend.  Rybird 2018
The full moon, in all it's brightness allowed people to see at night. The harvest moon was especially important as it allowed people to extend their harvesting into the night. At other times it allowed for night hunting and other activity. Through the generations people adjusted their lifestyles partially around the moon, becoming instinctively more energetic during the time of this lunar cycle. It was only recently that artificial light paved the way for further activity at night. And mankind wasted no time taking opportunity of this. The cars, the cities, even the homes are alive at night, the lines between darkness and light blurred, as people designed their new lifestyles around this new ability to see at night. It is a nocturnal design of sorts, for many people night has become day and day night, the world twinkling with lights. The instinctive energy of the full moon is still present though, yet diluted by our artificial world we have designed. It is almost as if we are afraid of the dark. Rybird

Awareness is primordial; it is the original state, beginning-less, endless, uncaused, unsupported, without parts, without change. Consciousness is on contact, a reflection against a surface, a state of duality. There can be no consciousness without awareness, but there can be awareness without consciousness…  Nisargadatta Mahara

Above:  Lemmy was a new experience  for me that taught the love of cats to me.
Lemmy came to me a scrawny malnourished kitten. I had never fed a stray or feral cat before, because I was told of the trouble it would bring.   But I felt this was a test from God. I felt that God would want me to treat this kitten as if the situation was reversed.  What would I want if I was a starving kitten?  For once I forgot about myself and not only gave Lemmy some food, I fell in love with her and we became best friends.  This experience was the first time I have become close to a cat, or kitten and was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had.  Lemmy introduced me to the love of cats and since then I have made many friends that have come and gone.  Yes Lemmy has passed on, but  the gift  remains.  I have two pages of cat art, photos and information, "Catarrific I and Catarrific II" and a dedication to Lemmy page.

I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright.  Henry David Thoreau
Photography brings me closer to nature, which I discovered holds great truth and beauty.
Art allows me an outlet for creativity and expression.
Music? It's in my blood.   Rybird
